Robert and Charlotte (Betty) Kobuskie began the Kobuskie Funeral Home in 1956, located at 147 Bleecker Street. John C. Konik purchased the business in 1986 and added his name, continuing as Kobuskie-Konik Funeral Home. In 2004, Mr. Konik relocated the business to the present location, 51 Fremont Street, within the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home building.
