In the 1970's, Allen Jackson, along with his father, opened the Jackson Funeral Home in Fonda. Later, Allen Jackson purchased the Todd Funeral Home in Fultonville. He closed the funeral home in Fonda and renamed the Fultonville location "Jackson & Todd Funeral Home".
In 1987, the Betz Family in Amsterdam purchased the funeral home in Fultonville and it is now known as Jackson & Betz Funeral Home. Allen Jackson stayed on as the manager until his unexpected death in 1991.
